2021 Annual Commission Meeting

The 72nd Annual Commission meeting of the Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Commission (NFFPC) is being hosted by the Province of Prince Edward Island from September 29-30, 2021. The meeting will be conducted at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, PE.

The meeting is also open to guests who can participate in the group tours, banquet, and group meals and/or enjoy the area while we are in the business meeting. Please note that the registration fee for Wednesday, September 29 includes bussing, a guided tour, and all meals and breaks. While a physical, face-to-face meeting is planned, the Zoom platform will be used for Commissioners who cannot attend.

Important COVID-19 Information

We continue to monitor the Canadian border crossing situation regarding COVID-19 related restrictions. Check here for the latest travel restrictions, quarantines and testing requirements. We remain optimistic most restrictions will be eased well before our meeting at the end of September. However, if major restrictions remain or are re-instated, our back-up is a virtual meeting, similar to 2020. The final decision will be made by mid-August.
