Administration:  Commissaires

La Commission compte trente (30) commissaires représentant dix (10) des onze (11) organismes associés à la Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Commission (le onzième organisme, soit les New England National Forests, ne fournit pas de commissaires en ce moment).

Pour que soit formée la Commission, chaque État est représenté par trois (3) commissaires: l'expert-forestier de l'État, un législateur d'État et un représentant du gouverneur. Chaque province canadienne désigne également trois (3) commissaires.

Les commissaires se réunissent une fois par année. Leur fonction consiste à fournir conseils et orientation au Comité de direction du Compact, à revoir et à approuver les budgets annuels du Compact et à tenir leurs bureaucraties respectives (gouverneurs, législateurs, etc.) au courant des affaires du NFFPC.
